About this site
What this map is, how to read it, and what it will stay free of.
Functional Health OS is a public set of how-tos under ten topics: Food, Digestion, Sleep, Stress, Movement, Labs, Hormones, Environment, Prevention, and Practice.
Each topic opens with a short frame, then a long article you can actually finish and use.
What you will find
The articles are the product. They aim to sound like a clear friend who reads a lot.
Sleep and Stress sit side by side as equals. Labs covers how to read a PDF calmly; there are no tests for sale. Practice is how you do the work at home: routines, recovery tools, a week you can keep.
You can quote a line in a text thread. You cannot book a practitioner from here, and that is on purpose.
How to read an article
Take the steps as experiments you run on yourself, with your own history as the judge. If a clinician who knows you disagrees with a page, they win. The disclaimer says this in full.
Cross-links are how the week holds together. Food without Digestion is a shopping list. Labs without a question is a spiral. Stress without Sleep is a pep talk.
Why a lot of health writing feels broken
The feed sells a part: a hormone, a superfood, a wearable score. The part can be real. The mistake is treating it as the whole week. People then bounce between tribes and still skip bedtime.
Hospitals are built for emergencies. The decades between emergencies need a different kind of attention, and this site lives in that gap. You will never be asked to join a program.
What this site will stay free of
No city clinic locator. No clinic login. No supplement aisle woven through the articles. No named doctor persona. If other layers ever show up, they will live somewhere else.
A note on the name
"OS" means a set of defaults for attention: eat, sleep, recover, look again. There is nothing to sign into.
Who publishes this
Functional Health OS is published by BlendMode. The articles are educational writing. None of it is written or reviewed by a named clinician, and none of it is medical advice.
